While it was assumed that Apple’s H3 chip would debut in the AirPods Pro 3, it appears we need to muster up some patience and await the arrival of the AirPods Pro 4 to witness this upgrade because the older H2 chip is reused in the company’s latest wireless earbuds. However, you do get better Active Noise Cancellation thanks to the use of ‘foam-infused’ eartips, not to mention that Apple has also incorporated more eartip sizes to ensure that size incompatibility isn’t a problem.
The Transparency Mode has also improved significantly thanks to Apple employing newer microphones to help make your voice sound more natural. On top of that, you get dust and water-resistance thanks to the IP57 rating. Now, what’s strange about the AirPods Pro 3 is that while they last longer on a single charge with ANC enabled, with an endurance of 8 hours (10 hours when running on Transparency Mode), the MagSafe Charging Case’s cell has been reduced. In total, the AirPods Pro 3 will last for 24 hours instead of the AirPods Pro 2’s 30-hour endurance.
As for the extras, you get a heart-rate monitor and a new U2 chip on the MagSafe Charging Case that can be tracked from a 3x distance, or 200 feet, completing the package.
