Acer's next-gen laptops, including Swift Air 16, Predator Helios 18P AI & several Nitro / Chromebook series have been unveiled at IFA 2025.

Acer is one of the manufacturers that offers one of the most diverse laptop lineups, ranging from portable ones like the Swift series to high-end gaming options such as the Predator. At the IFA 2025, Acer unveiled its latest laptop models, which are equipped with upgraded specifications such as AMD's Strix Point platform or NVIDIA's RTX 50 series GPUs. These SKUs are designed to compete in every segment of the laptop market, and by the specifications on paper, all devices appear pretty capable.
Starting with the Acer Swift Air 16, the company's thinnest and lightest laptop to date, it was developed for professional users who prioritize portability. The device's compactness is driven by the integration of AMD's Ryzen AI 300 series, and it comes with up to an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor. With a 16-inch display screen and a weight under 1kg, the laptop is even lighter than the mainstream Apple MacBook, making it a competitive offering to several consumers. Next up is the Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514 model, which is reported to be the company's first to offer the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor. The onboard CPU is a versatile chip, offering 8x ARM-based cores and the Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU. Interestingly, it has a dedicated NPU onboard, offering 50 TOPS of AI power, which means that the device is suitable for edge AI applications as well. The laptop is available in two different configurations, with the superior one offering a 14-inch WQXGA+ panel, up to 16 GB LPDDR5X memory, and several essential features.

Now coming to the more interesting releases, Acer has also unveiled the Predator Helios 18P AI laptop, which features Intel's Arrow Lake-HX platform onboard, particularly the high-end Core Ultra 9 285HX processor. For graphics, the device is equipped with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, which makes the laptop one of the fastest ones out there in terms of raw performance. The Predator Helios 18P AI offers an 18-inch mini-LED 4K panel, along with up to 192 GB ECC memory.
The Helios 18P AI laptop is a powerful machine, and to cool it down, Acer has integrated dual 6th Gen AeroBlade metal fans, which are claimed to be the world's thinnest fan blades in such a device. Apart from this, you are looking at support for Thunderbolt 4 Type-C, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 connections as well, which means that the laptop doesn't compromise in terms of performance and user experience. The on-paper specifications position the Helios 18P AI laptop as one of the fastest, rivaling the likes of MSI and ASUS.

Finally, Acer has also refreshed the Nitro lineup, and the Acer Nitro V 16 is now infused with Intel's Arrow Lake-H platform. The laptop features up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 270H processor, along with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU. The 16-inch panel onboard features a 2560x1600 resolution with 100% sRGB color coverage and a 180 Hz refresh rate. The Acer Nitro V 16 features up to 32 GB DDR5-5600 memory and up to 2 TB SSD as well, making it a decent option if you are looking for a capable product, but not too high-end.
