This hardware manufacturer is bringing the old designs to newer cards, and while the new GPU will be much faster than the Vega VII, it's going to exhibit the iconic triple-fan design.

Chinese Manufacturer Zephyr Teases its Triple-Fan Flagship Graphics Cards, Boasting a Design Similar to AMD's Radeon Vega VII

Graphics cards usually don't live for long, but sometimes their design becomes a legacy or an inspiration for others. This is what we are seeing Zephyr continuing with its GPU lineup. Zephy, a Chinese GPU manufacturer, recently teased a graphics card on the Bilibili channel, and if you take a close look at its design, you will see how closely it resembles AMD's Radeon Vega VII

Zephyr didn't forget to include even smaller details like that small Red branding on the top-right corner, which on Radeon Vega VII indicated the Radeon branding. Zephyr announced that it's going to be its flagship GPU and it pays "tribute to the classics". It used its self-developed 102mm double ball fan ring fans for this GPU, which should increase the airflow while reducing the noise.

The fans and blades do look similar to the Radeon VII, but the fan blades are more curved to deliver superior air pressure. The shroud is plain and simple, yet it shows the elegance the Radeon Vega VII had. The color choice is also the same, and while AMD made the Vega VII in both Grey and Red variants, the Zephyr GPU will be available in only Grey color, although we don't know if it has any plans to introduce a red version.

As far as the GPU model and specs are concerned, Zephyr didn't reveal what GPU it actually is. It could be either NVIDIA or AMD but it's likely that it is an AMD card due to its design. We don't expect it to be the RDNA 4 GPU like the RX 9070 XT or 9070, as Zephyr usually launches the latest gen cards much later. It is likely from the RX 7000 family, but we will wait for further confirmation.
