Samsung is hosting its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 in a few hours, and the event is meant to unveil some key product releases. While the show's star would remain the new foldable lineup, we would see the wearables consuming a chunk of the keynote. Although the speculations have given away quite a few details about the upcoming event, the company could have last-minute surprises in store for its audience. The event is to be held today, July 9th, in New York City, and industry leaders, partner companies, media, and influencers will be able to attend it live with an in-person invite. Users and the community at large can also watch the event from the comfort of their home with the livestream version.
How to watch the Summer Galaxy Unpacked 2025 today and what to expect
Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked 2025 is to be held today, July 9th, in New York City, and those with in-person invites will be able to see live what the company has in store this time around. The event would start around 10:00 AM ET/ 7:00 AM PT / 4:00 PM CET. As always, the event would be livestreamed for those who want to catch the keynote live from their home. You can watch the livestream on the company's official website and the YouTube channel. We have embedded the link below for those who are planning to catch the livestream version:
Here is what we can expect from the Unpacked today:
Galaxy AI
We expect Samsung to start the keynote by shedding some light on the Galaxy AI initiatives it has in store and the integrations made to improve the offerings of its smartphones. Just as we saw AI capabilities as a major selling point when the Galaxy S25 series came out, we would have the new features also take a major portion of the event.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Flip FE
When it comes to the product releases planned for today, Samsung is prepared to unveil its latest versions of the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip phones. As per the rumors up till now, we expect the company to bring down the thickness noticeably compared to its predecessor. We expect the Galaxy Z Flip 7 to stand at 13.7mm thickness when folded and 6.5mm unfolded and weigh around 187g, and although the upgrades are not major, it is still relatively thinner. The Flip 7 would also be coming with a bigger battery. We also expect Samsung to launch its budget-friendly flip foldable with the same dimensions as the Z Flip 6, probably to cut down on the component costs.
Galaxy Z Fold 7
We are expecting the Z Fold 7 to be considerably slimmed down, and the claims are that it could be the company's slimmest phone yet. The rumored dimensions are that it would be 8.9 mm thick when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded, and weigh around 215g. The battery capacity is said to remain the same, coming at 4,400mAh. The model is expected to come in three colors: Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow.
Galaxy Tri-Fold
Samsung is expected to showcase its tri-fold phone as well, which will be the first in this category and could have very limited availability. It is said to have 6.94-inch cover display and 9.9-inch main display. The phone is expected to come out next year and would be slightly on the higher end.
Galaxy Watch 8
We could see an update on Samsung's wearable lineup with the Galaxy Watch 8 expected to come in 40mm and 44mm size and is said to carry more or less the same specifications of its predecessor. The smartwatches could come with the same squircle design that we saw Galaxy Watch Ultra sport.
More details will emerge at today's event, but we are excited to see what the company has in store for its foldable and the new AI features we could potentially see. We will be covering the event in extensive detail, so make sure to stick around.
