OneXPlayer has finally unveiled the pricing of its OneXGPU 2 eGPU which comes equipped with AMD's Radeon RX 7800M GPU.

The trend of external GPUs in the markets has ignited in the past few months, especially after the influx of compact devices with no decent graphical performance. It won't be wrong to say that OneXPlayer is one of the pioneers of the eGPU segment, and its first iteration of the OneXGPU series was indeed a solid product.

Still, now, the firm has unveiled the next-gen variant featuring AMD's upgraded Radeon RX 7800M GPU, based on the Navi 32 die. Not just performance improvements are included, as the newer eGPU dock comes with additional connectivity and perks.

Diving into the details of the Radeon RX 7800M, the GPU chip comes with 60 Compute Units, making up 3840 stream processors in a chip that packs 28.1 Billion transistors. The TDP for the AMD Radeon RX 7800M GPU is rated at 180W and runs on 12 GB VRAM, and when compared this to the original OneXGPU, which featured AMD's Radeon RX 7600M XT, you are getting a massive bump in both CUs and the VRAM onboard, guaranteeing significantly better performance.

Connecting the OneXGPU 2 with the OneXPlayer X1 handheld resulting in a whopping 200% to 500% increase in frame rates, according to data shared by the firm, which shows how big of an impact does the handheld performance witnesses when connected to the new eGPU dock.

The OneXGPU 2 dock also features extensive port connectivity, such as an OCulink port with 64Gbps connectivity, USB 4.0, HDMI, and DP interfaces to allow seamless connection to external displays.

To add to the utility of the OneXGPU 2 eGPU dock, the firm has offered a dedicated M.2 2280 SSD interface, which features a magnetic cover, to allow consumers to swap out storage devices in an instant. To compliment the overall look, the dock also features RGB flowing light on the edges of the device, offering a unique touch to the overall product.

Interestingly, OneXPlayer has revealed that the eGPU dock is slated for Indiegogo listing on 26 September, and they have also disclosed the potential pricing structure as well, with the base specifications starting from $899.
