NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER GPU specs have been leaked by the one and only Kopite7kimi, hinting at a significant VRAM upgrade.

NVIDIA To Upgrade VRAM Specs For Its GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER GPU To 18 GB, Additional Cores & Slightly Higher Power Draw

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50 Desktop series launch is now complete with the introduction of the GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card. The card aims at the entry-level lineup, and that's about it as far as the original family goes. After this, NVIDIA will be focusing on its RTX 50 "SUPER" Desktop lineup, which will launch sometime around CES 2026. One of the graphics cards within this lineup, the RTX 5080 SUPER, has been detailed earlier and now, Kopite7kimi has revealed the preliminary specifications of a second RTX 50 "SUPER" variant.

The graphics card is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER, which will succeed the GeForce RTX 5070. In terms of specifications, it looks like the RTX 5070 SUPER will be a decent upgrade over the existing model, mainly due to the upgrade in VRAM capacity. So let's start with the specification.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER is expected to feature the GB205-400-A1 "Blackwell" GPU and will utilize the PG147-SKU65 PCB. This chip will feature 6400 cores compared to 6144 cores featured on the RTX 5070's GB205-300-A1 GPU. That's 50 SMs compared to the 48 SMs featured on the older GPU. The card will also feature a TBP of 275W, which is a 25W or 10% bump over the 250W of the standard RTX 5070 model.

In terms of memory, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER will feature 28 Gbps GDDR7 memory alongside a 192-bit bus interface, but instead of 12 GB VRAM, the card will host 18 GB VRAM. This upgrade comes from the latest 3 GB (24 Gb) memory modules, which allow NVIDIA to pack more VRAM capacity on its SUPER variants.

This marks a 50% upgrade in memory capacity, and with 18 GB, the 5070 SUPER will become a solid option for high-end gamers, breaking past the 16 GB VRAM sweet-spot of most high-end graphics cards. The bandwidth for the RTX 5070 SUPER will remain the same as the Non-SUPER model. So, in a nutshell, the RTX 5070 SUPER offers (vs 5070):

Now, the most important question that remains would be the price. NVIDIA didn't increase the pricing of its last "SUPER" variants, so we expect the same to happen with the RTX 5070 SUPER. At $549 US, an 18 GB RTX 5070 SUPER will be a strong contender, but users will have to wait for a bit before we see it launch.
