The Ryzen 5 7500X3D is already available if you want to settle for a pre-built PC. The configuration is pretty solid for the listed price as well.
PowerSpe G527 Gaming PC Listed on Micro Center for $999, Bringing Ryzen 7500X3D, Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB, 32 GB RAM, and 1 TB Storage
AMD's newest Zen 4 X3D chip isn't yet officially announced, but it has already started appearing in various places. The CPU was spotted two days ago on Geekbench, and today it is officially listed in a pre-built gaming PC by PowerSpec on Micro Center. The gaming machine by the name "PowerSpec G527" is now offering a configuration, including this new 6-core/12-thread CPU that comes with additional 64 MB of L3 cache on top of 32 MB.
The key features reveal that the processor indeed brings a base clock of 4.0 GHz and should bring somewhere around 4.5 to 4.6 GHz of boost clock. The mini PC uses decent parts, including an MSI B850M chipset motherboard, 32 GB DDR5 RAM clocked at 6000 MT/s, 1 TB NVMe SSD, and a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB edition, which is one of the best budget GPUs today. The system is available for $999, which is a fair price for the configuration, considering our $1000 gaming build used similar parts.
The difference is that we used the Ryzen 5 7600X in our configuration, while this one brings a faster gaming CPU despite having slower clocks. 96 MB of L3 cache will immensely help in gaming performance, and considering you are also getting Windows 11 Home included, WiFi 6E for wireless internet, and a free keyboard-mouse combo, this is an incredible deal.
Now the interesting part here is that we can actually guess the price for the Ryzen 5 7500X3D. If we take a rough estimate of the overall cost of all the parts, then the processor shouldn't cost more than $200. It could be less as well, but our speculation is ~$200 for now. This is a much better price tag than what we have for the Ryzen 5 7600X3D. The 7600X3D is still priced at $299, which is a really bad price for its performance, and there's no reason why one should settle for just 6 cores at this price.
If AMD prices the 7500X3D at $200 or lower, this is going to be the best budget gaming CPU today, offering even better gaming performance than the 9600X and Core i5 14600K. We have to wait for AMD's confirmation of the price, but AMD will likely release it silently, as it does with budget processors. Moreover, we don't know if it will be a worldwide launch, but considering previous launches, the processors do make it to multiple parts of the world after some months.
