Ant Esports is reaching new heights in the high refresh display segment. Now, it is releasing its fastest QHD IPS gaming monitor that can exceed 500Hz.

Ant Esports Launches ANT275PQ Max 500Hz QHD IPS Monitor, Boasting DP 2.1 UHBR20 at a Price Tag of Nearly $1000

HKC is probably the only brand that is playing the high refresh rate game more aggressively than others. While popular monitor manufacturers like ASUS, MSI, AOC, Samsung, etc. have already unveiled their fastest monitors yet, HKC's sub-brand Ant Esports (also known as Antgamer) is the first to deliver a 750Hz TN gaming monitor recently. Now, it's back with another offering, called ANT275PQ Max, which is the world's first QHD IPS monitor that surpasses 500Hz refresh rate.

The ANT275PQ utilizes the HMO (High Mobility Oxide) backplane technology, which enables faster electron mobility and, hence, reduced response time. This also helps the display deliver accurate colors and reduce the power consumption compared to regular IPS panels. ANT275PQ Max brings a 27-inch display with a 2560x1440p resolution, featuring a wide color gamut like 99% DCI-P3 color space for vibrant images. The response may not be the fastest, but it's on par with fast IPS displays, featuring 1.2mm GtG response time.

The monitor also has great control over motion artifacts, thanks to 4.21% low overshoot at 540Hz, which usually goes over 10% in very high refresh rate displays, bringing more ghosting to the screen. One of the best upgrades on the ANT275PQ Max is the DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, which is essential to deliver uncompressed visuals at such a high refresh rate at 2K resolution. This interface brings 80 Gbps of bandwidth, which Ant Esports missed on the 750Hz ANT257PF gaming monitor. That said, it's great to see that, unlike the ANT257PF, which is a TN panel, the ANT275PQ Max not only delivers superior visual quality and interface, but it also costs less.

Ant Esports is launching the ANT275PQ Max at 6,999 Yuan in China, which roughly translates to US$978. It's still quite high as we already have powerful high refresh rate QD-OLED monitors for similar or even lower price tags, but considering it brings leading specifications and features on an IPS panel, the pricing isn't as bad as the 750Hz TN monitor. Moreover, the company has alos introduced several more models in the HMO series, starting at 1799 Yuan or US$250. Next year, Ant Esports will also launch its 1000Hz backlit display, which will enhance the fluidity drastically.
