GEIL, a high-performance memory module manufacturer, has unveiled its newest CUDIMM and UDIMM DDR5 memory options, offering performance and aesthetics.
[Press Release]: GeIL – Golden Emperor International Ltd. – one of the world’s leading PC components and peripheral manufacturers, announced today that its full range of DDR5 memory products, from 6400MT/s to 8000MT/s, will now be available in both CUDIMM and UDIMM options to meet diverse consumer needs.
For high-end overclocking applications, GeIL is introducing two new high-speed specifications, 8800MT/s and 9200MT/s, offering overclocking enthusiasts an optimal choice for top performance. Both CUDIMM and UDIMM options ensure excellent compatibility and full support for Intel’s latest Core Ultra Processors (Series 2).
According to the latest JEDEC standards, CUDIMM includes an additional CKD (Clock Driver) chip, which regenerates the clock signal directly on the DIMM. This integration reduces signal degradation and noise, resulting in enhanced memory stability and performance, with stable operation at speeds of 6400MT/s and even reaching up to 7200MT/s. For both standard and high-performance applications, the CKD chip plays a crucial role in signal integrity and reliability, enabling faster, more stable speeds.
[Journalist Note]: We did have an early look at GeIL's CAMM2 & CUDIMM designs back during our visit to Computex 2024, and it was expected that the firm would roll out its solution by Q4 2024. CUDIMM memory products have seen a massive rise in adoption from manufacturers, mainly since it has upscaled performance thresholds, reaching up to 10,000 MT/s in some cases. Companies like G. Skill, Adata XPG, and several other mainstream manufacturers are all rapidly presenting CUDIMM solutions to jump on the bandwagon.
In terms of release dates, GeIL says that the firm plans to launch its new memory products by the end of November, and neither has the firm provided details about pricing for now.
