Zelda BOTW Update 1.4.0 Adds Support for The Champions’ Ballad DLC 2 and Offers Various Gameplay Fixes

Nintendo has released The Legend of Zelda BOTW update 1.4.0 which adds support for The Champion’s Ballad DLC 2 pack, and offers various gameplay fixes.

Breath of the Wild’s second DLC pack was released yesterday following the release of the expansion’s new trailer at the Game Awards. We’ve included that trailer down below just in case:

As expected, Nintendo released a new update for Breath of the Wild on the Switch to support the new expansion. We’ve included Nintendo’s official release notes below:

On December 7, 2017, a new software update for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo Switch console is connected to the Internet.

  • Added support for DLC Pack 2, “The Champions’ Ballad.” Players who have pre-purchased this content can play it by updating the DLC and software.

  • Made various fixes to improve gameplay.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available globally now for both the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
