Looks Like Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 Will Have The One Feature Not Present In Surface Pro 4

With Xiaomi and Microsoft partnered up to bring the latter’s Windows 10 platform to mobile devices, it appears that we might have one more thing to look forward to when Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is officially announced.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 Might End Up Running Windows 10 As Leak Suggests That The Operating System Is Being Tested On It

According to a Chinese source, a brief statement was given to a user logged in to Weibo suggesting that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will be able to run both Windows 10 and the latest version of Android. Previously, we reported that a teaser image had been released by the company, which indicated that the upcoming slate might possess the aforementioned feature. This is the reason why Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is being tipped to come running with Intel’s current generation chipset, which provides support for such a feature.

However, at this point, we are unsure if users will be able to switch between the two platforms through a one key function, a feature that is present on Teclast X98 Pro, or will customers have to decide which platform to run before the product is shipped out to their current residential address. Either way, looks like we are going to find out soon enough. As for the remainder of the specifications, we expect Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 to come with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, along with a much bigger screen size compared to its predecessor.

The original Mi Pad came with a 7.9 inch screen so it is possible that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is going to feature a 10.1 inch screen with a crispier resolution. Thanks to the larger screen size, we also expect a much larger battery capacity due to this increased form factor. Xiaomi’s low-cost business model has allowed it to soar to new heights in the smartphone market, and we are confident that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will be able to target the fronts of both enterprises and end-users if it comes with an affordable price tag.

While the slate is expected to be running killer hardware, the feature that we are getting the most hyped up about is its dual-OS support. Are you excited about Xiaomi Mi Pad 2? Let us know your thoughts.
