Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, or Surface Studio 2 Too Expensive? Microsoft Introduces Surface All Access, Allowing You to Pay Overtime

Microsoft has just made buying a Surface device that much easier for you by introducing a new monthly financing plan. Unlike most other things that had already leaked before today’s Microsoft’s Surface event, no one was able to catch wind of the monthly installment plan beforehand. Needless to say, this is a pleasant surprise and it is called the Surface All Access.

Surface All Access Payment Plans Start From $25 per Month Over a 24-Month Period

The financing program sounds a bit like the Surface Plus program that was nixed in August. The short-lived program enabled customers to spread the cost of a new Surface device over a two-year period. It also gave the customers an option to upgrade to a new device after 18 months on the condition that the old device was in good shape.

Although the details are sparse about the Surface All Access program, Microsoft did reveal that payment plans start as low as $25 per month, and can help finance the purchases of devices such as the Surface Laptop 2, Surface Pro 6, and Surface Studio 2.

The new program will allow you to spread the payment over a 24-month period in the same vein as the Surface Plus program, but the option for early upgrade is no longer there. The price will also cover a 24 months subscription to Office 365. Accessories, dedicated support, and Microsoft Store benefits are also a part of the package.

It is worth mentioning that the price varies according to the device and the rate of $24.99/month for 24 months is for the Surface Go, unfortunately. Although Microsoft didn’t mention if this plan applies to all configurations, the accumulated cost after two years will be more than paying for the device upfront. If you are looking to buy the more luxe devices such as the Surface Book 2 or Surface Laptop, be prepared to pay roughly $50 or $150 every month.

The program is currently only available in the U.S. and it remains to be seen if it will be extended to more countries.
