Samsung's Galaxy S7 To Feature Camera, Multimedia And Other Upgrades
When it comes to the Galaxy S7, we've seen several rumors and information pop up so far. Most of these are related to the device's performance, which seems to be as impressive as can be expected from a Samsung flagship. The Korean manufacturer raised the bar significantly with the launch of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge this year as both the devices came with the 14nm Exynos 7420.
For the Galaxy S7, so far rumors point towards the Exynos 8890 and the Snapdragon 820 coupled with the Exynos 7422 (for select markets) and its the Exynos 8890 that's managed to catch our attention. The Galaxy S7 has also surfaced in several benchmarks already, some of which show a commanding lead over the Snapdragon 820, Qualcomm's processor for 2016. In fact, the Galaxy S7 has also surfaced with Samsung's custom Mongoose M1 cores, which prove the Korean electronics giant's hardware mettle once and for all, at least allegedly.
Today's information suggests that Samsung might also be taking a look at the lighter aspects of smartphone design with the Galaxy S7. Aside from hardcore performance courtesy of the device's Exynos 8890, the Galaxy S7 should also come with a variety of other impressive features on board. One of these is the introduction of pressure feedback into the device, courtesy of ClearForce, introduced by Qualcomm a couple of days back.
In addition, today's information also suggests that the Galaxy S7 will be seeing a camera resolution increase, which should be expected given the Android world's annual specification upgrade cycle. Allegedly, the Galaxy S7 will be coming with a rear camera of 20MP coupled with Samsung's ISOCELL technology. On the multimedia side of things, Samsung's next flagship can also be expected to feature ESS' Sabre 9018AQ2M headphone amplifier solution and 2 channel D/A audio converter.
The 9018AQ2M comes with a host of impressive features on board which include harmonic distortion support of up to -120dB, power consumption lesser than 40mW and SLIMbus among others. If today's information turns out to be true, then the Galaxy S7 will be coming with a lot of top level performance and entertainment features that should prove to be sufficient to everyone requiring a power packed experience from their smartphone.
