A lot of features have been rumored for the S8 lineup. Samsung will launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus guns blazing. The company's got a lot of ground to cover after the Note 7 fiasco. That's the main reason behind the delayed launch of the S8, as it wants to cover all potential device faults. And there's a lot of ground to cover. Samsung will greatly overhaul the lineup this year, the launch of which will also mark the introduction of 10nm processors in smartphones.

Today's screen protector leak confirms details already present on the rumor mill. Current information pegs both the devices with a button free front facade, Iris scanners and curved displays. You won't get a standard flat screen variant on the S8 this year, as Samsung looks to fully capitalize on its primary design advantage for the lineup. The remarkably thin top and bottom bezels among other features are present on the protectors, as you can see below.

Iris scanners for the devices are a go, as the cutouts clearly show room for two sensors at the top. The Note 7 was the first premium mobile gadget to feature the tech but its early demise left little room for Iris scanning to reach its full potential. With the Galaxy S8, Samsung will have a lot of time and market to experiment with Iris scanning. The S8 Plus will also be considerably bigger than its brother. Leaks peg the device with screen sizes of 6.2 inches. The S8 on the other hand will feature a 5.8 inch screen diagonal.

The launch of the S8 and S8 Plus is set to be one of the biggest in Samsung's history. Not only will the pair feature major hardware overhauls, Samsung will also pay special attention towards their software. The Korean tech giant is all set to launch its virtual assistant, Bixby, with the pair. Bixby will be modeled along the lines of Apple's Siri, Microsoft's Cortana and Google's Assistant. Let's hope some official details surface at the MWC later this month. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest. We'll keep you updated.
