Almost every aspect of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus has leaked online. Just like its predecessor and other flagships, we know the majority of details for the device as we head to its launch. Today, yet another detailed leak takes place. Take a look below to find out more.
Samsung Galaxy S8 And S8 Plus Witness Dimension Leaks Showing Several Details
A lot is known for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The pair will have extraordinarily large screens, which will leave little space for traditional features on their front. Rumors speculate that owing to a near bezel less design, the only space left on the pair's front will be for the Samsung logo. This will be on the top of the device, as the Korean tech giant does away with a physical home button.
Where does that leave the alleged Iris scanner, front camera and microphone? We're not clear at the moment. Another leak straight out of Samsung's home country South Korea lays down more details. CNETKorea reports to have eyewitness accounts of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Based on these, they've produced renders, which you can see below. The biggest feature we can talk about is a fingerprint sensor at pair's back.
Initially, sources claimed that the Galaxy S8 will feature a fingerprint sensor embedded inside the device's screen. The device was also rumored to remove the 3.5mm earphone jack, with Samsung to follow Apple's lead with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. With the Galaxy S8's launch heading near, looks like both of these rumored features will turn out to be inaccurate.
Dimension wise, the Galaxy S8 will measure 143x132x65 and the Galaxy S8 Plus will measure 155x142x70. The report also claims on screen navigation buttons for the pair and suggests an all new physical button at the right edge. This is the one which will access Bixby and other virtual assistant related features on the Galaxy S8 lineup. The report also claims that the device's fingerprint sensor will be placed inside its camera sensor. Sound interesting? Go figure and let us know what you think in the comments section below. We'll keep you updated on the latest in the meanwhile.
