Not a day passes that we don’t see the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ surface on the rumor mill. The device will launch in just two days and Samsung’s got a lot riding on them. The Korean tech giant’s troubles with the government and its failure with the Galaxy Note 7 leave a lot to be desired. And the Galaxy S8 will live up to the mark, according to leaks. The device and its larger brother will be packed with the latest features and specifications. Today, we’ve got more details on the matter. Take a look below to find out more.
Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Listed Officially By Antutu With Complete Specifications
Samsung will change nearly every aspect of its flagship smartphones this year, save their overall look. And we bet that the Korean tech giant will do even that if given the opportunity. But Samsung’s not a big disrupter as its strengths lie in incrementally upgrading its smartphones until the circle completes. But recently, the manufacturer has become quite apt at breaking this pattern. It’s launch of edged screens with the Galaxy Note 4 and subsequently the Galaxy S6 won it many fans.
And it’s on this very note (no pun) that we head towards the launch of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The pair will drastically upgrade over their predecessors. For starters, Samsung will remove the home button completely, following Apple’s suit with the iPhone 7. The aspect ratio for the devices will follow the LG G6’s 18.5:9, and lend them a much taller look. How that’ll suit ergonomics? Your guess is as good as ours. Now, take a look at the complete specifications for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S+.
The images above show important hardware specifications for the local and international variants of Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. They’ll be separated only by the Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895. In fact, apart from the processors, specifications for all four device are exactly the same. 4GB RAM, 12MP rear camera and a 8MP front camera. Internal storage for these devices is listed at 64GB, though do expect Samsung to launch more variants.
The camera resolution also sounds a bit under kill to us. Samsung’s not one to shy away from competition, especially as better sensors are available on the market. Sony equipped its Xperia XZ Premium with a fantastic 19MP rear camera. Will Samsung do the same? We’ll find out in a couple of days. Till then, stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
