Polaroid Unveils Android-Powered iM1836 Camera
Polaroid has rejoined the smart camera party by unveiling its Android-powered iM1836 compact camera at International Customer Electronics Show 2013. Polaroid iM1836 is the first of its sort coming with interchangeable lenses. Counting 18 megapixels, having 10-33 mm lens for optical zoom and sporting a capacitive 3.5 inch touch-screen iM1836 has tried to join the row dominated largely by Galaxy camera. Polaroid iM1836 allows records 1080p HD videos.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is running all the show of this Polaroid camera, enabling easy sharing by having options of uploading images to popular image sharing and social networking sites. Auto blink detection, auto face exposure and pop-up flash are some of the features showcased by Polaroid. iM1836 can capture those vibrantly scenic wide-angle panoramic shots for landscape photography.
The built-in HDMI output would help users connect the camera with any monitor or TV screen to play the videos or run slideshows. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity are some other built-in features to make the easy sharing happen flexibly and instantly. The Polaroid iM1836 will be rolled out in markets in the first quarter of this year retailing at $399. No information about processor was made public through the press release.
