One of the leading independent PlayStation Home developer has announced two new game projects for PlayStation 4 and Oculus Rift. The UK-based developer nDreams is very familiar to virtual reality gaming, it has already created over 20 different virtual reality game prototypes and experiments with Oculus Rift, so it could be possible that it is working on a virtual reality title for PlayStation 4 that would work with Oculus Rift or Sony’s own rumored virtual reality headset. According to the recent investor letter, the new PlayStation 4 title will launch in 2014 and would be something truly special.

nDreams, the developer of Skydieving is working on more titles for PlayStation 4 and Oculus Rift. The developer has announced two new PlayStation 4 and Oculus Rift game projects that are in development and would release this year 2014. Patrick O’Luanaigh, CEO of nDreams confirmed the development of new PlayStation 4 and Oculus Rift titles in a recent investor letter.
“I’m delighted to be able to officially announce that we are working on a PlayStation 4 title, which will launch in 2014,” he said in investor letter. “More details will follow next year, but it’s the most ambitious game we have ever created, and we can’t wait to reveal more about it – it’s going to be something truly special.”
“We’re also working on a game for the awesome Oculus Rift. VR is an area of technology that we believe will finally come of age in 2014, and you’ll see us investing a great deal of time and money into it.”
The studio has not offered any further details on the announced game projects, but possibly it could be the first proper Oculus Rift game from the developer. The studio has also stated that its support for PlayStation Home with continue to grow, the investor letter states:
“Equally important will be our continuing support of PlayStation Home with a host of new items, outfits, spaces, games and some exciting new technology. PlayStation Home has been a very special place for nDreams over the last six years, and I expect 2014 to be the best year ever in Home. We’re very proud to have had over 14 million visits to Aurora since it started, and we’re planning several new updates to Aurora for 2014 along with some surprises.”
nDreams is a well-known independent developer and publisher. The last biggest release of the company is Skydieving, a falling simulator-game that was developed basically to test the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset.
