OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan Beta 2, tvOS 9.1 Beta 1 Now Available
Apart from iOS 9.2 beta 2, Apple has also released OS X 10.11.2 beta 2 as well as tvOS 9.1 beta 1 to developers.
Pre-release builds of Cupertino's software is coming in thick and fast, and today sees the release of iOS 9.2 beta 2, as well as the second beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan and the first beta build of tvOS 9.1.
Both of the beta software builds are only available to those who are enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, hence you'll be required to pony up some cash on an annual basis - $99 - in order to access the beta bits. If you already have the first beta of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan installed on your Mac, then you can grab the new build with extreme ease. Simply launch the Mac App Store, click on the Updates tab and download the new pre-release build from there. You'll be required to restart your Mac in order to complete the installation process, so make sure to save all your work before going ahead with the installation process.
Apart from the second beta build of OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan, the Cupertino company has also released the first developer beta of tvOS 9.1, the software which powers the new Apple TV 4. The final build of Apple TV 4's software was made available to download right before the unit went on sale, and today's release goes on to show that Apple is not resting behind the scenes and is constantly on a run to improve its newfound software for a device that sits snuggly underneath our TV sets.
As we mentioned before, both the beta builds are available to download straight from the Apple Developer Program website and you should be a paying dev in order to get access to these builds. Furthermore, developers are requested to update straight away without any sort of hesitation to ensure that their software works flawlessly across the board. Besides, the second beta of OS X 10.11.2 brings with it bug fixes and performance enhancements, and tvOS 9.1 on the other hand is bound to be a feature enhancing and improving build. So get out there and start downloading right away.
