Looks Like Another OnePlus Smartphone Has Passed Through The TENAA – What Specifications Do You Think It Will Feature?

After the release of the affordable OnePlus X, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is wasting no time in getting out another handset into the open as the latest device has passed through TENAA. However, what internal specifications will be incorporated inside this mysterious OnePlus smartphone?

OnePlus Gets Certified On TENAA – Might Feature A Snapdragon 810 And A MicroSD Card Slot

According to the Chinese website, the smartphone’s images appearing on the certification canvas look very similar to OnePlus X. Several features have also been taken from OnePlus 2, with the most notable one being the alert slider. However, the alert slider is present on the right hand side of the smartphone and it appears that the device is going to have a metal frame surrounding the chassis, which will obviously give the impression that the device sports a premium build quality.

According to Techno Buffalo, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone is going to feature the same specifications as OnePlus X ranging from 3GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, a 13MP rear camera sensor and an 8MP front shooter. The only difference here is that according to the source, this handset is going to be running a Snapdragon 810 instead of a Snapdragon 801, giving it an edge over OnePlus X and other devices in terms of performance. The lack of on-board storage could also mean that the smartphone could have a much smaller price tag than OnePlus 2, making it the much better option to purchase.

However, it has not been revealed if the device is going to be running the octa-core processor at full speeds or if the frequencies are going to be reduced in order to compensate for temperature reduction. Regardless, the Chinese manufacturer should really take note from the likes of Sony’s Xperia Z5 Premium and Microsoft’s Lumia 950 XL, which are incorporated with a thermal heat pipe solution (this allows the processor to run at full speeds).

We will definitely not be surprised if the company has planned to announce a slew of devices for 2016, but right now, this is all the information that we can provide you with. Hopefully, we will come to know a bit more about the smartphone and update you accordingly. So what are your impressions of the latest handset from OnePlus? Let us know your thoughts.
