LG G7 (or a different name since the company has been rumored to come with a completely different brand lineup for its flagship family) has been rumored several times on getting announced at the MWC 2018 trade show, which is going to take place in Barcelona. This would have been the perfect slot to reveal to Samsung what its rival has under its sleeve. Unfortunately, according to sources close to the matter, the LG G7 announcement might not take place during the upcoming event.
Sources State That the LG G7 Announcement Might Take Place in Mid-March Before Its Official Launch in April
According to The Investor, the LG G7 announcement is unlikely going to take place at MWC.
“LG is unlikely to unveil the G7 at MWC. The phone could be unveiled in mid-March before its official launch.”
We’ll still recommend you to take this rumor with a pinch of salt for now. Despite the impressive hardware upgrades present in the V30, LG was still unable to sell it well and the perfect showdown for the Korean manufacturer to reveal to the world that its flagships were well worth the money would be during the MWC 2018 trade show.
Sadly though, this might not happen in the first place. Still, there are several things to look forward to. For one thing, the manufacturer is not going to compromise on the hardware, suggesting that the phone is going to be outfitted with the Snapdragon 845.
The optics part is something that LG nailed with the release of the V30 and this is something that we expect will be repeated with the launch of the G7. Perhaps with a cleaner and more optimized UI, users might finally start to take notice and appreciate the efforts of the Korean manufacturer.
