Don’t Know How to Use Reachability on iPhone X? Be a Pro in No Time!

With the introduction of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple introduced a wonderful little feature called Reachability. It brings down the display so you can reach the upper elements of the UI in utmost ease. But the feature works by double tapping on the Home button, something which is not present in the iPhone X. So how does it work? Well, the feature is still there, and we will walk you through everything.

Enable & Use Reachability on iPhone X.

1. First and foremost, launch the Settings app.

2. Navigate to General > Accessibility.

3. Here you’ll see an option called Reachability. Tap to enable it.

4. With the option enabled, swipe down on the bottom edge portion of the display. The UI elements will come down, allowing you access to everything at the top with ease. Just like magic.

Though the implementation works, but the swipe area is so small, it makes things a little tough at first. But with a little practice, you’ll become a pro in no time.

Wrap Up

It’s somewhat odd that Reachability is not turned on by default on the iPhone X. Despite packing smaller dimensions compared to the iPhone 8 Plus, the display is tall enough for anyone’s hand. Basically, there’s no way one can reach the Notification Center without giving your thumb a good workout. Still, I’m certain Apple has made this decision after some careful thinking.
