It was only a matter of time before Apple would port its iPhone X features to an iPad. According to people that are familiar with the matter, a new iPad lineup is going to be introduced in 2018 and it is going to sport a lot of cosmetic changes plus bring in a better security feature. If you thought the iPad Pro lineup released this year was bonkers, looks like you haven’t heard the best parts of this report.

New Report States That the New iPad Lineup Will Not Get an OLED Display Technology

People familiar with this matter have spoken to Bloomberg and have chosen to remain anonymous for now. The report states that the new iPad, which is most likely going to be called the iPad Pro is going to feature a bezel-less display just like the iPhone X.

We’re not so sure about the notch but have a feeling that it is going to be making a comeback to the tablet. Another thing that is going to be present in the slate is Face ID. Apple’s executives did report that they never wanted to incorporate Touch ID on the iPhone X in the first place and always wanted something different that brings an increase in security and is extremely simple to use.

Unfortunately, the source also states that there is not going to an OLED screen made for the iPad family incoming in 2018. Looking at the price of the iPhone X, if Apple continues to rely on Samsung for OLED displays, then the overall price of the iPad Pro might reach the skies and they are already an expensive bunch of tablets.

The slimmer bezels and addition of Face ID is already expected to increase the price of these tablets, but unless Apple introduces some more OLED manufacturers to the table, we don’t believe that we will be seeing them in larger-display products anytime soon.

Are you looking forward to seeing slimmer bezels and Face ID technology on future iPad Pro devices? Let us know right away.
