As we head towards the launch of the OnePlus 5, the smartphone is surfacing in a lot of leaks. The latest of these suggest that the smartphone will be available to purchase just a day after its launch, just like the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus line of smartphones is special because not only do we get to see alleged details surface from unofficial sources, but information is often revealed by the company's CEO as well. Today, he's provided us with a low light camera sensor for the smartphone. Take a look below to find out more.
Low Light Camera Sample For The OnePlus 5 Shows Impressive Results And Good Quality
OnePlus likes to market its smartphones as 'flagship killers'. This is based on the premise that the average modern flagship smartphone is over equipped and overrated. The Chinese manufacturer equips its smartphones with specifications adequate to compete with existing flagships and also provides ample design to satiate those with aesthetic requirements. This year, we expect the company to follow a similar formula with the OnePlus 5.
This year, rumors claim that the OnePlus 5 will feature the Snapdragon 835 with 6GB RAM. At its rear, you'll get a dual camera setup with 13MP resolution. Today, the company's CEO has posted a camera sample from this sensor. It's the first low light picture taken from the phone and it displays some impressive quality and color reproduction.
The results are quite impressive and you get to see a fair bit of detail over here as well. It's a strong result, one that will allow enough competing room for the OnePlus 5. Design wise, the smartphone will be quite ordinary, aesthetically. We do expect a strong focus on build materials, like the OnePlus 3T. A minimalist look with good build materials will make for a nice smartphone, one that appeases the company's established customer base.
The OnePlus 5 will be with us in just two weeks. The smartphone will launch on June 20th, and is expected to be available for pre-order starting June 21st. It'll be the last flagship smartphone in this cycle before we see the iPhone 8 and the Galaxy Note 8, unless Nokia decides to make a surprise launch for the Nokia 9. Thoughts?
