Gwent The Witcher Card Game Closed Beta Delayed, To Begin On October 25th
During the E3 2016, CD Projekt Red confirmed that a Gwent The Witcher Card Game closed beta would become available for selected players sometime during September 2016. Unfortunately, it seems like fans of the game based on The Witcher universe will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the beta version of the game.
Today, CDPR confirmed that the Gwent The Witcher Card Game closed beta will be delayed by one month, meaning that it will become available on October 25th. In a statement, it’s been confirmed that the team requires additional development time to make sure the game is as good as possible, even in its beta stage.
At E3 we announced that we’d launch the Closed Beta of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game in September. Unfortunately, we feel we need some extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing. We know we can make a first impression only once, and want to be sure everything is ready before we blast off. Delivering a good game is more important to us than keeping a deadline. Still, that doesn’t mean we don’t realize that delays can be disappointing, and we apologize for making you wait. Closed Beta will now begin on October 25th.
Those who really cannot wait to get their hands on Gwent The Witcher Card Game can get a taste of it during Gamescom, which will be held next week in Cologne, Germany. It will be the first ever public hands on experience for the game, so make sure to stop by CDPR’s booth if you can to see how Gwent has changed for the standalone game.
Gwent The Witcher Card Game launches as a free to play game on PC and consoles on a yet to be confirmed release date. The closed beta will begin on October 25th.
