It is safe to say that out of all the flagships unveiled this year, the Pixel 3 and its larger brother, the Pixel 3 XL has managed to leak excessively and even before the official announcement that is just hours away, additional information has not been blocked. The pricing of the Pixel 3 was accidentally leaked via Verizon, and it is expected to be quite an expensive flagship. Let us hope that Google ends up showing us things that have not been covered in the barrage of leaks in order to provide a compelling smartphone solution to customers.

Google Pixel 3 Pricing Starts at $799.99, but the Promotional Image Reveals a Pixel 3 XL With a Notch at the Top

The Verizon BOGO offer for the Pixel 3 has set the price of the handset at $799.99. If we take a comparison right now, the base model of the iPhone XR costs $749. However, before we start to conclude that the Pixel 3 is downright expensive, let us take a look at some of the things in the image that you may, or may not have noticed.

For starters, the image does not show a Pixel 3, but a Pixel 3 XL, as the latter is the only one out of the duo to feature a notch at the top. This could reveal that the price of the Pixel 3 XL is actually $799.99, so this is something that will be officially unveiled during the announcement taking place later today. However, it is also possible that the starting price of the Pixel 3 is $799.99 and the larger Pixel 3 XL will cost much more.

In that case, very few people are expected to pick up the bigger variant, unless Google has some very impressive selling points that it would showcase during its announcement. In terms of hardware specifications, apart from the display size, resolution and battery capacity, the rest of the innards are expected to remain constant between the two handsets.

In that case, customers who prefer a bigger screen real estate and better battery endurance will only pick up the Pixel 3 XL. In any case, we will be providing timely updates during the unveiling of both smartphones to stay tuned and don’t go anywhere.
