Gigabyte Launches Worlds First Micro-ATX Motherboard Featuring Dual-Thunderbolt Technology

Gigabyte, today launched the worlds first Micro-ATX form factor motherboard equipped with Dual Thunderbolt technology.

The motherboard GA-Z77MX-D3H-TH is built on the Z77 PCH featuring LGA1155 socket to support the latest Ivy Bridge processors. According to Gigabyte, this is the first entry level motherboard to come equipped with Dual Thunderbolt ports. It comes with a 6 Phase VRM to power the CPU and memory.

Other features include four DDR3 DIMM slots with upto 32GB memory support (2400MHz O.C).Two PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slots and two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots. Storage includes two SATA III and four SATA II ports while I/O connectivity features 4 USB 3.0/ 10 USB 2.0, Atheros Lan, 8+2 Audio Channel, Dual Thunderbolt ports and HDMI, DVI, VGA connectors for IGP users.

The board is available for sale currently at $180 US.
