Fresh iPhone 7 Plus Image Set Shows Dual Camera & No Earphone Jack For Device

In a nice buildup to their September launch, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have leaked consistently over the past couple of months. Given the nature of the rumor mill, it's hard to separate fact from fiction. Still, with the passage of time, several details become more apparent as they appear consistently. For the iPhone 7 Plus, they haven't been much. Apple isn't expected to change things much in terms of design this year. However, some changes are still expected, in order to sustain interest in the lineup for another calendar year. Today, some more alleged images of the iPhone 7 Plus have surfaced. These once again confirm several pieces of information which have surfaced previously as well.

Fresh iPhone 7 Plus Images Corroborate Dual Camera Rumors Yet Again; Provide Little Specification Details

Design wise, the iPhone 7 Plus will change little from its predecessor. Overall form for the device will remain the same, with overall rounded corners and a soft approach. Specification wise, there's a 3GB RAM upgrade that's been rumored for quite a while. Display specifications on the other hand are expected to stay consistent. We are still expecting some new color options, though information surrounding these has been sparse at best.

One major change that's a consistent feature of the rumor mill is a dual camera upgrade for the iPhone 7 Plus. Some fresh specification listing of the device show that we won't get a resolution upgrade for the iPhone. What plans Apple has for the dual camera aren't still clear. All we know is that the larger variant of the iPhone will come with two cameras on board. Today's images, which you can see below confirm these changes once again.

Overall, the iPhone 7 Plus appears to have a rather sleek approach. Removal of the earphone jack also blends in nicely with the device's bottom. Still, it would have been much better if Apple had chosen to place more speakers in place of the jack. Current word on the rumor mill suggests that instead of more speakers, we'll get a microphone in place of the earphone jack this year. The glossy look on the iPhone 7 Plus is due to factory coverings on the device, with the Apple logo on its back also looking rather interesting.

Apart from these changes, nothing else can be gauged from today's image leak. Not that the rumor mill has left room for any more guesses. The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus will be the last in the lineup that started with 2014's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It'll all be clear very soon when Apple launches the devices this September. We'll be on the lookout for more details on the rumor mill's end. Till then, stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
