A free Final Fantasy XV update will be deployed next week which will introduce a new PS4 Pro mode alongside timed quests with a new hunting ranking system.
As posted by Japanese website Gamer.ne.jp and covered by Nova Crystallis, the free update will release next week on April 27, and will offer new features for PS4 Pro players, including a brand-new “Image Quality Mode”. This new mode is said to offer a “stable framerate and comfortable play”. Furthermore, the update will feature a new magnifying option for subtitles and the menu screen size.
Additionally, a hunting ranking system is being introduced for timed quests from which extravagant weapons can be acquired. New music will be added to the music player as well alongside a new sticker to customize Regalia.
Final Fantasy XV was released last year for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Back in December of last year it was announced that the game was the fastest-selling Final Fantasy title to date, with day-one shipment and digital sales exceeding 5 million units.
Several DLC’s have already been released for the RPG, with the character-focused ‘Episode Gladiolus’ being the latest. The post-launch content offers a new story told from Gladiolus’ perspective uncovering the events that transpired when the character left the party in the game’s main storyline, and features a combat system that capitalizes on Gladiolus’ blocking and counterattacking play style through the new “Valor” and “Rage” system.
As said, Final Fantasy XV is available now for Xbox One and PS4.
