Eric Schmidt Believes That A Galaxy S7 Is Better Than An iPhone
Eric Schmidt the executive chairman of Alphabet, might have a favorite smartphone and that happens to be the Galaxy S7, as he decides to pit the flagship phone against Apple’s iPhone 6s.
Eric Schmidt Admits That Galaxy S7 Has A Bigger Battery Than iPhone 6s, Resulting In Better Battery Life
During a ‘fireside chat’ with CNBC at Startup Fest in Amsterdam on Tuesday, Eric Schmidt stated that he was an iPhone user, but also has a Samsung Galaxy S7 one as well. According to the executive, he prefers a Galaxy S7 because of the following:
“Samsung S7 is better. It has a better battery. And those of you who are iPhone users (know) I'm right.”
While the chairman is using both devices, he seems to have a severe liking towards the battery life of Galaxy S7. After all, how much battery life do you think you can rake out of the 1,715mAh cell of iPhone 6s? Now, if he was using an iPhone 6s Plus, which has a much larger 2,750mAh, his views would have changed instantly; that is the advantage that large screen phones have as opposed to smaller screen ones.
Schmidt has openly admitted that he has been using an iPhone 6s and while most company executives would do this for a laugh, it is possible that he wants to know what his company’s rivals are up to. By using the iOS ecosystem, Eric Schmidt will have a better idea of how to improve Google’s mobile OS. We will have to wait and see what sort of improvements are present with the official release of Android N, but as we speak, Google’s mobile platform has done exceptionally well to pick up the pace against iOS.
Perhaps the next Nexus lineup will easily be able to provide the ideal phone running the latest and greatest operating system update from the tech giant. Do you guys think that a Galaxy S7 is a better smartphone, or an iPhone 6s? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
