CoolStar has recently updated the Electra jailbreak for iOS 11 to version 1.0.4 and there are a bunch of minor additions that you should take note of. The update is now available to download for all jailbroken iPhone and iPad models. The update is released only a few days after CoolStar released the version 1.0.3. The current version 1.0.4 brings more stability for the jailbroken devices for a more smoother experience. So let’s dive in to see some more details on the matter.
Electra Jailbreak Updated To Version 1.0.4, Available For Download
While the changes might not add a bevy of additions and may not feature any major changes on a deeper level, it would definitely be vital for you to know the changes. Electra jailbreak version 1.0.4 has removed the XPC code which according to CoolStar was causing problems from the start. The official Electra website cites the changes as follows:
- Remove all XPC code that could possibly have been problematic ever since beta 11
- Replace TCP, UDP, and XPC with MIG (thanks Psychotea from the Meridian team)
- Recommended to also update Tweak Injector to 1.0.4 from our repository to get safe mode in system daemons as well
If you’re interested in downloading the latest Electra 1.0.4 jailbreak version for iOS 11, you can do so through the official CoolStar website. Simply head over to this link (coolstar.org/electra/) and you’ll be presented with the appropriate options. If you are not familiar with the remaining process, you can learn so from here.
However, do take note that if you already have the older version installed, you can upgrade by deleting the Electra jailbreak app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad and then sideloading it again. Once you do that, you will have to jailbreak again using the latest 1.0.4 jailbreak version.
