Dark Souls 3 PC 1.04.1 Update Available Once Again, Issues Solved

Last week, the PC version of Dark Souls 3, the latest entry of the series developed by From Software, received a new update which introduced some anti-cheating methods that should have made the experience more enjoyable for all those playing the game online. Unfortunately, the patch came with some criticial issues which made it almost impossible for most to play the game even offline. Earlier this week, the 1.4.01 update has been removed, with the game reverting to the previous version, but a few hours ago the update has been made available again.

According to a variety of reports on the game's Steam Community forums, it seems like the stuttering and freezing issues introduced by the patch last week have been mostly fixed. We will keep you updated if any new issue is discovered in the next few hours.

Those who haven't had the chance to check out the full patch notes for the Dark Souls 3 1.04.1 patch notes can find them right below.

Today’s update solved the following issues you may encounter in the Online Mode:

  • Being sent immediately to your world
  • Being sent to the Firelink Shrine
  • Being changed in full Dragon Body Status

Earlier today, we reported that one dedicated Dark Souls 3 fan is working on a rather interesting mod which will allow players to control bosses, with the aim to introduce an offline PvP arena mode to the game. There are no news on when the mod will be released, but what has been shown so far looks quite promising.

Dark Souls 3 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will keep you updated on the game's future updates and additional content as soon as possible, so stay tuned for more.
