Attack on Titan 2 Announced, Will Release in Early 2018
KOEI TECMO just announced that Omega Force is developing Attack on Titan 2, a sequel to 2016’s game inspired by the popular manga.
We only have a brief overview from the press release, accompanied by a few screenshots and a teaser trailer.
Building on the fast-paced action the series is famous for, and featuring an abundance of new gameplay mechanics, the gripping sequel will be released across America as ATTACK ON TITAN 2 in Early 2018. Players will once again don the renowned Omni-Directional Manoeuver Gear as they fight and repel the fearsome Titans that threaten humanity, to restore peace within the walls.
While more information about the game’s release, platforms, and narrative will be unveiled in the coming weeks, KOEI TECMO has released an immersive teaser trailer featuring famous scenes from the comics and anime, fully rendered with in-game graphics.
The first installment was reviewed by Francesco, who rated the game 7.2/10 and stated:
Attack On Titan is definitely the most interesting Omega Force developed hack and slash game, thanks to the unique movement system and combat mechanics which require more than simple button mashing. Sadly, this doesn’t prevent the game from becoming repetitive due to uninspired maps and lack of mission variety. The game offers plenty of fun anyway, just don’t expect a masterpiece that can still feel fresh after 20 or more hours.
