Apple's Screen Protector Installation Program Hits U.S

Last week, the Apple Stores in Japan offered a machine-optimized installation of screen protectors on the iPhone 6 series. Today, the service stretches towards the U.S and, probably, it will roll out to other regions soon. The ScreenCare+ Application system and protectors are provided by Belkin.

The ScreenCare+ Application System is a unique, first-of-its-kind system designed to apply Belkin screen protectors to your iPhone with unparalleled accuracy. There is no need to worry about misalignment or air bubbles arising. Expert application of our screen protectors ensures an impeccable result that not only mirrors the look and feel of the native screen, but is so clear, and so precise, it’s hard to know it’s there at all.

Belkin's ScreenCare+ machine allows Apple employees to apply screen protectors accurately and precisely.  If there are mishaps or mistakes in applying the screen protector, even if the protector was inefficiently applied, the employee would apply a new protector at no additional cost. You can also request the screen protector to be re-installed if you are not satisfied with it.

The Apple Store employee will clean the iPhone and then apply the screen protector in the presence of the customer. The employee evenly applies the protector and then places the iPhone inside the machine with protector resting on the opposite side. After the machine is closed, the protective wrapping is carefully pulled and removed. The machine then automatically adjusts the protector on the display. There are no or least chances of air bubbles accumulating between the screen and the protector. Moreover, dust or any sort of debris is also cleaned so none of them gets trapped.

The price of the screen protector depends on the iPhone and its size. Overall, the prices range from $19 to $37. This is it for now, folks. What are your thoughts on Apple's machine-assisted screen protector installation program? Share your thoughts in the comments.
