Apple and Nike Announce the New Apple Watch NikeLab – Space Gray Color Enthusiasts Will Love This
If the regular Apple Watch Nike+ of Series 2 versions were not your choice of wearables because you’re picky about a specific color, the Apple Watch NikeLab might be the variant you’ve been searching for all along. Both Apple and Nike have partnered up once more and have introduced a new color version for the masses.
Apple NikeLab Features the Same Internals But Comes in a Different But Limited Edition Color for the ‘Ultimate Style Companion’
Pairing a Space Gray Apple Watch Series 2 wearable with a black and cream themed Nike band, and you have the limited edition Apple NikeLab model. While it features the same internals, features, and water-resistivity of the regular Apple Watch Series 2 devices, the refreshed aesthetics could be something that fitness junkies might be looking forward to.
“The limited edition, neutral-toned Apple Watch NikeLab maintains the beloved features of its predecessor: deep integration with the Nike+ Run Club app, exclusive Siri commands, GPS, a two-times-brighter display and water resistance to 50 meters, all made possible by a powerful dual-core processor and watchOS 3.”
Apple Watch NikeLab will be available to purchase starting on April 27 from Nike.com. Pricing details have not been divulged, but it is possible that it retains the same MSRP as that of the regular versions, which is $399 for the 42mm version and $369 for the 38mm.
Before you intend on purchasing one, Apple has also detailed the water-resistance rating of the wearable and in which circumstances should you be exposing it to sources of water.
Apple Watch Series 2 has a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that it may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, Apple Watch Series 2 should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depth. Stainless steel and leather bands are not water resistant.
