Apple Pay is now Available in Iceland

Apple Pay is now available in Iceland in a somewhat unexpected launch. The online mobile payment service arrives in Iceland in partnership with the Arion and Landsbankinn banks. With that said, if you own a credit or debit card with the aforementioned banks, simply head over to the Wallet app to add your card. Let's dive in to see some more details on the matter.

Apple Pay Arrives In Iceland In A Somewhat Unexpected Launch

As we have mentioned earlier, Apple Pay is now available in Iceland following its launch in Australia last month. The service is still rolling out so you may have to restart your iPhone in order to force refresh the Wallet app to set the Apple Pay screen. Once the setup is complete, you can start using your iPhone at retail outlets where the contactless payment method is excepted.

Apple Pay will ask you to double tap on the side button of your iPhone X, iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR to bring up the Apple Pay interface. Furthermore, Face ID authentication will also be required for enhanced security. On the iPhone 8 and older devices, you will have to use the Touch ID setup to authenticate when you move your phone near the reader.

Apple Watch users can also use Apple Pay by tapping on the side button twice which will bring the interface. After that simply hold the watch display hear the terminal and the transaction will be made. With Iceland, Apple's mobile payment service is now available in 34 countries altogether.
