Zalman Launches Mid Range Goldrock PSUs

Korean based PC hardware manufacturer Zalman is about to announce a new line of mid range PSUs that are all 80 Plus Gold compliant at the perfect price spot. We introduce you to the Goldrock PSUs.

The new PSUs will be available in capacities of 550W, 650W, and 750W with their efficiency rated at 87 to 92% on 20 to 100% load capacity. Build wise, the Goldrock series pack high grade Japanese capacitors for long life as well as an active PFC, an LLC resonant and as well as a DC-DC switching.

Maintaining a single +12v rail design, they deliver up to 45, 54 and 62 amperes on the 550, 650 and 750W respectively.

A 5VSB green IC enables the PSU to maintain the ErP Lot 6 Compliance. A secondary protection IC has also been included to protect the PSU against over/under voltage, current overload and short circuiting.

Price wise, the 550W for $134, 650W for $145 and the 750W for $158.
