United States are going to get stocked with Sony’s Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact soon, and here are all the details regarding the pricing that you wanted to know about the handsets that were announced at IFA 2016.

Xperia X Compact Carries a Price of $499 – Xperia XZ Will Definitely Cost You More

Participating retailers, ranging from Amazon and Best Buy will start stocking Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact between September 25 – October 2. The pricing details of both devices have been listed below:

  • Xperia X Compact: $499
  • Xperia XZ: $799

Sony’s forte lies in camera sensors and one of the primary selling points of both devices will be the imaging of both handsets. The 5.2-inch Xperia XZ belongs to the highest tier of Sony’s smartphone lineup and features a 23-megapixel rear facing camera with two autofocusing sensors capable of capturing good shots in a variety of different light conditions. Naturally, being labelled a flagship smartphone, the device can shoot 4K at 30FPS, and is supported by five-axis video stabilization. The $699 flagship also features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage that we’re confident that the internal storage satisfies the UFS 2.0 standard.

Additionally, the flagship will also provide support for expandable storage. As for the Xperia X Compact the 4.6-inch smartphone possesses the same camera features as the 5.2-inch juggernaut, although the screen size differences that separate both the devices means that the battery capacity differences will also appear. That being said, Xperia XZ features a decent 2,900mAh battery, though if it was a mid-ranger, we would let this slide. Unfortunately, it isn’t so a 3,000mAh battery or higher battery capacity should have been present, but I guess there are other impressive aspects of the device.

Overall, both phones are great in terms of hardware but Sony does take an offensively long time to roll out software updates. Regardless, if you don’t have an issue paying for the aforementioned price tag, then Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact are both devices that you should look into.
