Xiaomi Mi Pad might have been an impressive tablet sporting killer hardware but we expect Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is going to exceed the capabilities of its predecessor in every way possible. Now, we have received the announcement date of the upcoming slate and let us tell you that it’s not very far away.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 Expected To Be Announced On September 22; Yes It Is That Early

If you thought that the company’s Mi4c was going to be only mobile device that you were going to witness on September 22 then according to a source, you are in for another surprise because Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is also expected to be a part of the upcoming announcement. According to our previous reports, the slate is going to sport a much larger screen size as compared to the company’s first ever tablet. This means that the dimension of the screen could exceed 10 inches.

Strangely enough, the national 3C Quality Certification Center placed the product (which has the model number 2015716) under the notebook category. This either means one of two things; either Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is a fully fleshed notebook, which cannot seem possible because the company will be branching out to this particular market in 2016 with the help of Foxconn. The other reason is that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 was placed in to this category was because the device was mistaken for a notebook, most likely because of its large screen size, which we are eagerly hoping for.

Another huge selling point of the upcoming tablet is that since there is a very high chance that Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 will be running Intel’s SoC, which will make it compatible with both Android and Windows. One thing that we are hoping for is that the slate has a single key-OS switch functionality, which will seamlessly allow users to switch between Google’s and Microsoft’s platform with the strike of a single command. This feature is already present in Teclast X98 Pro, and we want it to make its way to this product as well.

Even though we are unsure of the pricing details of Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, we are hoping that the company prices it according to its original tablet. If the tablet does sport a dual-OS functionality, then combine that with its killer price tag and you will possibly end up with one of the most popular tablets on the market. We are going to wait and see what the firm has in store for us. Are you eager to witness Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with the aforementioned features? Let us know your thoughts.
