It appears that Xiaomi has a penchant towards codenaming its smartphones according to the zodiac because the company’s Mi4c was named Libra before it was officially announced by the company. Now according to the latest source, Gemini is the codename for the upcoming smartphone and it impresses greatly in benchmarking tests.

Xiaomi Gemini Scores Terrifically In Geekbench Benchmarking Results – Could Very Well Be The Company’s Upcoming Mi5

Geekbench benchmarking results of Xiaomi Gemini shows that the smartphone is able to score very impressively in both the single-core and multi-core test results, as you will see shortly if you scroll down to see the images. From what we know so far, Xiaomi Mi5 is going to be running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820, which was announced by the company just yesterday, and has been processed on the 14nm FinFET LPP process. According to the image, the clock speed of the quad-core running in the chipset is running at a speed of 1.60GHz, and apart from that, the handset is running Android Marshmallow 6.0.

The disappointing thing that we could make from the scores was that Xiaomi Gemini is running 3GB of RAM. For a flagship smartphone, as well as looking at the company’s Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, the handset should have been running a minimum of 4GB RAM. After looking at previous leaks, the upcoming smartphone is most likely going to have a Force Touch tech feature that is very similar to what is present on Apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Additionally, the smartphone is expected to sport a 5.2 inch screen that is going to render a 1440p display. Similar to the company’s previously leaked flagship devices, do not expect this one to feature an external storage card slot or removable battery for that matter. However, if these things are not going to be present, then we should at least expect the handset to come with an abounding amount of internal storage to compensate for the aforesaid limitations.
