New Xbox One System Software Update Available to Preview Members

The June System Software Update for the Xbox One became available today, but those part of the first wave go a second update as well.

The Xbox One update applies more tweaks to the party chat, and fixes more issues arisen with Ryse: Son of Rome‘s multiplayer invites.

Program Manager Emily Hanson provided the patch notes in the private preview forums:


OS version released: xb_rel_1506.150521-2312
Available: 12:00PM PT 5/24 (2AM GMT 25/5)



  • Ryse Multiplayer invites fixed to resolve failure to connect errors.
  • Various small tweaks to the Party app to help us understand issues reported by the community.


  • Please report any issues you discover via the Report a problem feature or in the forums!

The first wave of Xbox One owners part of the preview program will receive the update today, with the second wave in the following days.

Microsoft has a few surprises coming at E3 2015 next month, and head of Xbox, Phil Spencer seems confident enough that they are bringing the big guns and promises the biggest line-up in Xbox history.
