The Witcher 3 Comparison Screenshots Between Final Version & VGX Trailer

NeoGAF’s member ‘JoeLT‘ shared a set of images comparing the final version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to VGX trailer from 2013. The smoke effects are the ones that received the biggest downgrade and as CD Projekt admitted those would had too much for any PC to handle. Particle effects are also fewer, and the lighting system seems to have taken a hit as well.

The final build of The Witcher 3 reveals fewer particle effects and a different lighting system, while the smoke effects are the ones taking the biggest hit.

There’s a way of improving the grass quality in The Witcher 3, as well as improving performance by making a few adjustments in the ini files. There’s also a workaround on how to run HairWorks on AMD GPUs without crippling performance, which enables AMD GPU users to enjoy The Witcher 3 with the HairWorks setting enabled and actually getting better performance than GeForce users not using a Maxwell architecture Nvidia GPU.
