Windows 7 is no stranger to us, it’s one of Microsoft’s FINEST OS’s yet and it’s about to get even better with the release of its first service pack being made public, although its only the release candidate which is 70-80% of the final product we can be sure that this SP will definitely bring a lot of new goodies to the table.

The service pack is free for all those who own a Windows 7 OS and can be downloaded for free HERE

While the 32 bit version is only 514.7 MB the 64 bit version is 865.4 MB, so far no new features have been detected in the new patch such as when Microsoft introduced dream scene in Vista which although WAS a memory hog did make the desktop more lively.

It goes without saying that this is STILL not the FINAL version of the Service Pack so it might cause problems with your system. So install the RC at your own risk otherwise you can always wait for the final version to be added to your update download queue in Windows 7.
