AOKP Team recently released AOKP JB-MR1 Build 2 custom ROM. And this build supports a wide variety of US version Galaxy S3 smartphones, including the Verizon Galaxy S3 i535. The latest AOKP JB-MR1 Build 2 is based on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean ROM, it will allow you to enjoy the latest iteration of Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean your Verizon Galaxy S3 i535. While the development of Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean started late but we are sure this AOKP release will prove to be a sure delight.

Before you go on to update your phone, please keep in mind that the said upgrade still has a few minor issues. Which are:

  • Hiding page hints on the lockscreen isn’t working if the carousel animation is active.
  • Recents RAM Bar is not updating correctly.
  • A2DP/in-call volume adjustment, WiFi tethering are not working and you might find the speakerphone volume level a bit too low.

If you think that you can live with the above mentioned problems, continue with the up-gradation process.

Before installing this ROM, it is pertinent to mention that ROM flashing can cause your phone to brick. Although most of the ROMs today are virtually brick proof, but it is always recommended to be cautious since it will be your own responsibility if anything goes wrong.
