Sony has released an update for Xperia T LT30p; 9.1.A.0.489 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean official firmware. While the update is available via Sony PC Companion and OTA, if for any reason you have been unable to upgrade, here is a guide to update your Xperia T LT30p to 9.1.A.0.489 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Official Firmware.

Disclaimer:This guide will use a tool; Sony Flash Tool to flash the official firmware on your Sony Xperia T LT30p. During the process, you might lose all your existing installed apps and personal settings. It is therefore necessary for you to follow the guide carefully. Also, please, do mind that this tutorial is only for Sony Xperia T LT30p. Don’t try this guide in any other Android device.

Update Sony Xperia T LT30p to 9.1.A.0.489 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OTA

  1. Extract ‘Flash Tool for Xperia’ and ‘Xperia T_9.1.A.0.489_Europe’ zip files that you have downloaded using the link above, you will then get a ‘Emma_Setup.exe’.
  2. Install the ‘Emma_Setup.exe’ file and complete the initiation.
  3. Start ‘Emma’ software, by clicking on its icon.
  4. Power off your phone. Wait 5-6 seconds to confirm complete switch off.
  5. Put the Sony Xperia T LT30p in Flash Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down when connecting it with your computer via USB.
  6. ‘Emma’ should now show that your phone is connected with your computer.
  7. Select ‘Xperia T_9.1.A.0.489_Europe.ftf’ file in Services list. Click on ‘Apply Service’, to begin flashing process.
  8. Once done, you can then unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
