Samsung’s AMOLED screens are getting a twist: they can be twisted. Flexible AMOLED screens are being developed and are expected to be found on Samsung handsets in two years. In addition of being flexible, they can endure strikes of a hammer as the video shows. These screens use plastic AMOLED panels with polyamide protective film, which is a nice concept since people won’t have to worry about damaged screens anymore. There is no indication of screen’s scratch resistance, which is a more common problem than broken screens, but there was no scratch on the screen either after the hammer strikes. A good concept!
