Verizon Stocks HTC Incredible for Launch This Month?
Industry Software

The news is based on a screen shot posted on Android forums and there are no other credible sources to confirm whether the SKU mentioned is of HTC Incredible or some other upcoming device. The poster also confirms by saying that “INC” in the SKU is for Incredible and the reason stocks are showing “On Order” are because they have not been cleared for release / launch.

Whenever Verizon decides to launch HTC Incredible, it will capture the market incredibly as Android OS has fast becoming the top choice for most of the old and new users a like. This news comes in line with what we posted some time ago about Verizon launching the phone in few weeks.

Most of us remember great 3D animation science fiction/adventure cartoon The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest from late 80s and early 90s in which a boy named jonny used to fight bad guys cyberspace realm known as “Questworld”.

A few years back Nintendo’s Wii revolutionized the way we know gaming but now in near future Microsoft’s Project Natal will completely change the gaming world with its latest technology which can detect & recognize human movements.

Microsoft recently announced that they will be using PrimeSense a 3-D-sensing and recognition technology in their upcoming Project Natal for Xbox360.

Ilan Spillinger, vice president of Xbox 360 said

“We’ve seen tremendous excitement and anticipation for the arrival of ‘Project Natal’ this holiday. PrimeSense has delivered an important component to the technology, helping us deliver revolutionary controller-free entertainment experiences in the living room”.

According to Inon Beracha, chief executive officer, PrimeSense

“PrimeSense’s technology enables a paradigm shift in the way people interact with consumer electronic devices. The engagement with Xbox 360 establishes PrimeSense’s position as a leading supplier of 3-D-sensing technology, We are especially honored to have a partner like Microsoft that shares our vision for bringing innovative and engaging natural experiences to consumers”.

Apple to Launch Its Own Search Engine?
General Industry

Rivalry between Apple and Google starts heating up first there were unconfirmed rumors that Apple will launch iAds in order to compete with Google. Now Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray one of the top analysts of Apple said that there is 70% chance that apple will create his own search engine.

Gene Munster wrote that

We believe Apple could utilize data unavailable to Google, data generated by the company’s App Store, to create a mobile centric search engine, which would be a unique offering to Google’s search engine.
An iPhone specific search engine could be a difficult undertaking, but we feel Apple could make a minor acquisition of a search company that has built a web index, like a Cuil, and utilize the index as the base for building its own engine.

We believe the odds of Apple developing a search engine in the next five years are 70%. One hurdle for Apple in developing its own search engine would be generating enough advertiser interest to form a competitive marketplace; however, we believe the rationale for an Apple search product is to protect data rather than generate profit.

True or not one thing is for sure Apple do know how to stay in limelight.

Zune HD 64 Leaked by Microsoft Itself?
Industry

There’s no doubt that Microsoft wants to take over the iPod market and they are doing it quiet efficiently and successfully too. Remember I did an article on “Why Apple is Always in News”, well I guess someone in Microsoft read it and tried to apply it first hand.

Engadget has the news and the below screenshot of Zune HD 64 Gig device listed on Zune’s official website. Although there are no other details to reveal but this is good enough for now that Microsoft is taking the competition seriously [however I am sure the slip up was intentional]

Leaked Xbox 360 Titles List for 2010 with Some Surprises
Games Industry

VG247 got hold of a gold mine list for gamers as it gives out complete details of new Xbox 360 titles for 2010. The list is comprehensive and it shows titles like COD7, James Bond Racing [yeah we are in a fix on this title too] and DJ Hero 2 [and one with Bundle].

The list is very long and some dates given are earlier than announced by the game developers, like COD7, which is said to be developed by Treytech [not another Vietnam or WWII COD].

Anyhow, the most interesting part is about the game called “Yoga Natal” which is said to be a title for Microsoft’s upcoming Project Natal’s motion sensing device. Yoga Natal is scheduled for November release.
