THQ Nordic acquires the entirety NovaLogic Inc.’s product catalog including some classic military franchises. The asset purchase agreement has been made in which THQ Nordic will acquire all games and/or projects owned by NovaLogic Inc.

NovaLogic Inc. has been around and making games since the 80’s. They have specialized in realistic military simulation games like Comanche, Joint Ops and Delta Force series.

Here’s just a handful of the IPs and brands that THQ Nordic got in the purchase:

  • Delta Force Series
  • Comanche Series
  • Joint Operations Series
  • Armored Fist Series
  • Tachyon: The Fringe
  • F-22 – Series
  • F-16 Series
  • NovaLogic Trademark

John Garcia, owner, founder and CEO of NovaLogic Inc, said today in a press release his feelings on the news today:

After 30 years of creating ground breaking Computer and Video Games we are proud to pass the baton to THQ Nordic. As individuals, they are enthusiastic gamers and as a company have shown the agility and acumen needed to propel our industry towards a much-needed reset.

We are happy to see the franchises we created in such capable hands.

THQ Nordic, which is a rebrand of Nordic Games, was the publisher who released Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition last year. Let’s not forget that Nordic also owns Red Faction and Supreme Commander after THQ dissolved a few years ago.

Reinhard Pollice, Bizdev Director at THQ Nordic shared his thoughts on the new additions to their product portfolio:

NovaLogic pioneered military simulations and military-themed multiplayer shooters with vehicular combat and also clearly targeted at an adult audience. We are extremely satisfied with the new additions to our portfolio, and also very thrilled about how to continue some of said franchises, we are open for talks in this regard if any developer approaches us with a concept for a potential sequel to any IP.
