Star Wars: Battlefront’s Endor Scene Recreated In CryENGINE; Comparison Screenshots Favor Frostbite

CryENGINE member ‘currve‘, recreated the Endor scene from the trailer of Star Wars: Battlefront in CryENGINE. Star Wars: Battlefront is powered by DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine. Below you can view a comparison between the original and currve’s CryENGINE recreation. We have to take into account that the recreation was done by a single person, while Battlefront is being developed by a triple-A team. Regardless though from what we have seen of Frostbite’s latest titles including Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and Need for Speed, the latest iteration of the engine can produce some incredible looking visuals.
