The Star Wars Battlefront closed Alpha has been ongoing for the last couple of days, leading to some recent leaks revealing the list of weapons and ships. Some testers have released a few gameplay videos, that have showcased the graphics options and customization included in Star Wars Battlefront.

Star Wars Battlefront provides the same wealth of graphics options DICE is known for, and can be checked below.

AllGamesBeta has released an absolutely stunning set of 4K screenshots of Star Wars Battlefront at Ultra Settings, from the Tatooine Survival Mission. Star Wars Battlefront is most definitely one of the most anticipated games of 2015, and with the Game Critics Awards Best of E3 2015 Nominations Announced, Battlefront is the frontrunner with five overall nominations.

EA and DICE have finally showcased the first gameplay footage of Star Wars Battlefront, and as expected it looked amazing. They also demonstrated some Missions Co-op gameplay during Sony’s E3 2015 press conference, that showcases some incredible visual quality that almost matches the in-game trailer we have previously seen.

EA has also included the PC requirements for the test as follows:

  • CPU: Quad Core CPU e.g. Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.8 GHz or AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2 GHz or
  • AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 6 GB
  • OS: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit operating system required)
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 with 2 GB of Video Memory

Star Wars Battlefront Alpha Test Requirements are for Alpha Only and Don’t Apply to the Final Game

Community Manager Mathew Everett clarified that these requirements are for the alpha only, and don’t reflect the requirements of the final version:

“I wanted to make this fairly clear for anyone who is wondering about the min spec for Star Wars Battlefront.
The Alpha min spec requirements are for the Alpha only. These are not final and should not be taken as final. Now if you did get an Alpha invite and want to participate. You will need a system that meets the minimum requirements.”

Producer Jesper Nielsen explains that the selection is random.

Nope. As been said, it’s a random selection. There’s no other reason why.

Everett continues to add that there won’t be a Death Star based map in Star Wars Battlefront:

“We will not offer a Death Star based map. But stay tune for details around the maps we will offer.

All vehicles are obtained via power-ups across the battlefront. If you choose to use that power-up you spawn into the battle inside that vehicle.”

DICE was given unprecedented access to the original props and locations for Star Wars Battlefront

Unprecedented access to original Star Wars props and locations. Photorealistic visuals and authentic sound design from the talented team at DICE. Prepare to be transported to a galaxy far, far away.

EA: Star Wars Has Been A Phenomenal Business Partnership, It Has Galvanized The Company

Community Manager Mathew Everett has recently provided some information about the collaboration going on with Lucasfilm for Star Wars Battlefrront, mentioning that the planet Sullust used in the Star Wars comics is inspired by the game.

“The Sullust they use within the comic is based on the Sullust we’re introducing into the Star Wars universe in Star Wars Battlefront. This has been a part of the collaboration we have had with Lucas over the last few years.”

Everett confirmed that mission maps are unique and specific to that part of the game, separate from multiplayer maps:

“Mission maps are unique to Missions. The map count we revealed includes only Multiplayer maps from the base game (12 maps). We also have the two extra free maps that will come with the Battle of Jakku. The Battle of Jakku maps will arrive starting on December 1st or December 8th depending if you pre-ordered, which gives us 14 maps total before The Force Awakens arrives in theaters. We will reveal the full Mission map count in the near future.”

Star Wars Battlefront will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, 2015.
